Indian Science and Technology Association
 
The “Indian Science and Technology Association” (ISTA) [இந்திய அறிவியல் மற்றும் தொழில்நுட்பக் கூட்டமைப்பு] was established with the assemblage of renowned researchers from both science and technology domains. The goal of the ISTA is to bring these communities to one platform, to work together for the benefit of the Indian society. This array of scholars belongs to diverse research fields ranging from theoretical physics, applied physics, general chemistry, applied chemistry, biotechnology, crystallography, mechanical engineering, data sciences, metallurgy, mineralogy, and material sciences, etc.
 
The “Indian Science and Technology Association” (ISTA), in addition to various other activities, has also been actively involved in the development of science in Tamil language and to kindle interest among rural students, who were mostly studied through Tamil medium, towards scientific research. 
 
We work closely to develop the research interest, to improvise understanding, to nourish research attitude among students, who start their college academics through Tamil medium and to lay the firm foundation for their future research endeavours. 
 

Objectives

With the vision to have a motivated, skilled, updated pool of students with research passion, the objectives of ISTA are to popularize the basics in science and engineering among students, to introduce the recent trends in research, to encourage them to choose research as career. To meet these goals, ISTA has been periodically organizing Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Hands-on training, etc., in various parts of the country, to educate the people at various levels and offer a proper platform for discussing new ideas, new findings, and getting updated with new developments in the respective fields. Till now, ISTA has organized 17 International conferences and symposia and 8 National Seminars, and several workshops across India. ISTA encourages several leading scientists from various countries to visit rural and remote colleges and other academic institutes to equip students to face future research challenges and make them as talented pool ready to serve this Nation and world.
